Did you know?

There are many learning management systems on the market—but Harmony LMS is the only one purpose-built for property management. More importantly, it allows your team to learn while they work. Training is not disconnected from daily operations; it’s embedded directly into the same system your team already uses to manage places, people, and processes.

I don’t even understand the acronym. What is an LMS?

An LMS, or Learning Management System, is the software used to deliver online learning (eLearning).

It’s the platform that creates, delivers, manages, and tracks training content—courses, videos, exercises, and assessments—for your team.

I’ve never used an LMS before, why do I need one in my property management business?

You may not have managed an LMS before, but if you’ve taken an online course you’ve almost certainly used one.

Harmony LMS is not intended to replace external education platforms such as NAR, NARPM, IREM, or other industry providers. You’ll still use those systems for credentialed coursework.

The value of an LMS inside your business is different:

  • Train your team on your policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Standardize how work is done across the organization
  • Reinforce expectations and best practices consistently
  • Align staff with your company’s goals, values, and operating philosophy

In short, an LMS allows you to standardize what makes your company successful — rather than relying on person-dependent knowledge.

What’s the alternative to an LMS in my business?

Every business trains its employees. The difference is how.

In our research, most property management training happens through two informal methods:

Shadowing: New team members learn by watching experienced staff. While familiar, this approach has real limitations. Your top performers are pulled away from productive work. Knowledge is diluted as it’s passed from person to person. Consistency suffers. It’s increasingly impractical with remote, hybrid, and field-based teams.

Mistakes: This is too often the default method of training. Team members are given partial information, make errors, and learn after the fact. This approach is costly, inefficient, and demoralizing. It creates rework, frustrates owners and tenants, and does not build high-performing teams.

Neither method scales well as your company grows.

I tried an LMS and walked away defeated. How is the Harmony LMS different?

You are not alone. Most LMS solutions are complicated and costly, and implementations fail before they get off the ground.

They assume students pay for courses, instructors grade exams, and learning is separate from day-to-day work. That model simply doesn’t fit property management.

With Harmony, you pay once for development of your courses and video content. There is no fee per course, class, or student. Learning is structured for familiarization, reinforcement, or assessment – not just university-style assessment-based learning. We do all the heavy lifting. You focus on leadership and accountability—making sure your team completes the learning that supports your business.

Can I try out the Harmony LMS?

Absolutely! Harmony U, already in your Dashboard, is built on the Harmony LMS.

There’s even a tiny little demo on what your own eLearning content might look like.

Log in to Harmony, select Help, then Harmony U. Choose the course: Property Management Team Success.

Featured Article: Harmony LMS

If you’re looking for a Learning Management System (LMS) to train your team, Harmony LMS is purpose-built to deliver eLearning that actually works.

Harmony LMS was created out of necessity. When we set out to build Harmony U, our education platform for the HERO Harmony SaaS, we evaluated every major LMS on the market. Each one introduced compromises we couldn’t accept—too complex, too rigid, too expensive, or not designed for how teams actually learn in the current era.

So we designed our own.
