We are here to help!

  • First of all, be sure that you’ve correctly entered your YouTube username and password into your Control Panel. Go to Configuration > System Preferences and add/edit your username and password with the following format: AccountName:AccountPassword (e.g. joe@heropm.com:myvids). It may help to type your username and password into a text editor like Notepad so you can see it, then copy and paste (CTRL-V) into the YouTube Account field.
  • Then, verify that the YouTube box is checked when you upload a video to a listing by Video syndication, and make sure that your YouTube account shows up next to it. If your YouTube account does not display, or the box is grayed out, you may have the incorrect YouTube account and password in your Configuration.
  • Double-check that the video has not already been uploaded to YouTube. YouTube allows a video to be uploaded only once, so if it’s there and associated with a different property, or if you uploaded it directly to YouTube instead of uploading it through HERO, you’ll need to delete it from YouTube and try again.
  • Make sure your video is less than 15 minutes long. YouTube will not accept a longer video, even though HERO PM will.
  • Be sure your video doesn’t have banned content. YouTube may not publish a video that includes copyrighted audio or images.
  • Then you’ll need to wait…it can take some time for YouTube to process a queued video.

If you’ve tried these steps and your video is still not syndicating to YouTube, zip and send the video to Member Support through your Control Panel under Help > Contact Support to see if we can duplicate the issue and help resolve the problem. For more information on syndicating listing videos to YouTube, view our Listing Video FAQ.
